Hull Community and Voluntary Services (Hull CVS) is a local organisation. It is a Company Limited by Guarantee registered in England, number 1570120. It is also a Registered Charity number 514311. The objects of Hull CVS are:
To promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the community in the city of Kingston Upon Hull, and, in particular, the advancement of education, the protection of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness…
Hull CVS is a membership organisation. Its members are primarily voluntary and community organisations operating in and around the city of Hull. CVS is governed by a committee of local people elected from our membership.
Hull CVS is one of a network of local CVS organisations in England and Wales. You can find local CVS organisations in other parts of England and Wales on the website of our national association at http://www.navca.org.uk/.
Hull CVS receives funding for its work from a variety of sources including Hull City Council, The Government, The Lottery, The Sir James Reckitt Charity, The Hull & East Riding Charitable Trust and various other grant giving bodies. A full list of current funders is published in our annual accounts which may be viewed on the Charity Commission website at www.charity-commission.gov.uk.
Hull CVS supports the local Compact for Hull.
