From time to time, Hull CVS administers grants schemes to support local voluntary and community organisations.

In line with our Charitable objects, and our mission statement, Hull CVS seeks to fund work that meets charitable purposes, and that:

addresses needs identified by, or reflects the concerns of people living in the City of Hull
meets needs that are not already being met
tackles disadvantage or exclusion and promotes inclusion and engagement
demonstrates a commitment to equality and diversity
Show good value for money

Individual grant programmes may set out additional and more detailed objectives.

The Green Communities programme from the Energy Saving Trust can show you how to become energy-efficient. Membership of the programme can help voluntary organisations and local communities to cut carbon emissions, tackle climate change and save money. Membership is free and you can benefit from: exclusive advice and information; a variety of training courses; expert consultation for energy projects; help with finding and applying for funding; inspirational stories from other members.

The ONE HULL Business Forum has recently launched a new Connect website which can be viewed here (www.hbfconnect.com).

This website aims to bring together business partners and the voluntary and community sector. This could be through recruiting Trustees or Board members, acting as an informal advisor for project development or advice on becoming a trading partner.

16/03/2010 - What Is Planning Aid?

Planning Aid offers people the opportunity to get involved in the development of their local areas. We provide free and independent professional planning advice to community groups and individuals who cannot afford to pay professional fees.

We work with communities to help them understand and play a role in the planning process. We are an independent source of advice and information on planning issues, not part of central or local government.
