Display Your Work in Artlink Shop

Artlink are calling for emerging and established artists making fresh, unique and original hand-crafted items.

In particular, we are looking to increase our stock of unique gifts for both adults and children. We are particularly interested to hear from artists that are producing printed magazines/books/comics (not one offs), and artists making small affordable items with prices under £25.00 such as glassware, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and small framed images. We are also looking to launch a print catalogue, so would be interested in any type of prints smaller than A4 in size, and would welcome both limited edition and reproduction prints.

Please note: due to the layout of our shop we are not able to hang paintings, prints or other wall hangings, and ask artists not to submit works of this nature.

The work will be displayed in Artlink’s Gallery Shop, on a sale or return basis for a minimum of three months if selected. There will be a 25% commission on all sales and the possibility of work being shown on our website. Artists must arrange transportation or postage of their work to and from the gallery at a cost to the artist.

To apply please send: a maximum of ten images of your current work (CD or printed photographs), stating medium and size of works; price guide for works including the 25% commission; brief CV detailing recent exhibitions/outlets where your work is sold and a short artist statement of no more than 200 words. The cut off date for applications is Friday 3rd February 2012 at 4pm.

If you would like your application returned, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with the correct postage, or we will presume that you are happy for us to keep your details on file.

Artists selected for the shop will be notified by email or phone on Wednesday 8th February, and will be expected to deliver their work to Artlink by Wednesday 15th February. If you do not hear from us, please assume that your work has not been selected.

Applications should be sent to: Emma Dolman, Gallery Development Worker
ARTLINK Centre for Community Arts, 87 Princes Avenue, Hull, HU5 3QP or gallery@artlink.uk.net
