Voice and Influence
Hull CVS works in partnership to promote the work of Hull’s voluntary and community sector, and to influence policy and decisions affecting the sector.
Hull CVS are the host organisation for the Hull LINk (Local Involvement Network) giving voluntary and community groups and individuals a stronger voice about local health and social care services provided by the City Council, NHS and other publicly funded organizations.
LINks have been set up across England by the Government and have powers under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007 to obtain information from service providers, to access premises to see how well services are provided and to make recommendations on how services could be improved.

Hull CVS actively supports the Local Compact for Hull, which is an agreement between the voluntary and community sector and local public sector bodies about working together effectively.
ONE HULL is the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) bringing together different public sector bodies (City Council, Police, NHS), local businesses, and the voluntary and community sector to work in partnership to deliver the City’s Sustainable Community Strategy. Hull CVS are a partner in ONE HULL.
Forums Research and Consultations
Hull CVS organise regular Forums for voluntary and community groups to meet and network, and produces research reports into the issues affecting the sector.
Hull CVS promotes relevant consultation opportunities so that local organisations can have their say on issues that are important to them. If you have a consultation exercise to promote please get in touch.
