ONE HULL
What is ONE HULL?
The Government believes more gets done if people in an area work together. They could be community and faith groups, the council, police and fire services, charity groups, businesses, schools, health bodies and more. Pooling experience and expertise, they can understand local people, places and problems and make sure the right actions are taken and right services delivered. This linking up is through a Local Strategic Partnership (LSP). Hull’s LSP is called ONE HULL.
ONE HULL’s 2020 Vision For Hull
‘Hull is a City which is living, learning, working, healthy and proud. One of the most important cities in Northern Europe, we are a gateway for global trade and the heart of a prosperous Humber sub-region’
ONE HULL’s plans to deliver this vision are set out in two key documents:
- Sustainable Community Strategy 2009 – 2011 sets out plans to improve the econmic, social and environmental well being of Hull and its citizens
- Local Area Agreement 2 (LAA2) 2010/11 - The LAA dictates how money is spent by the LSP and sets detailed targets for delivery.
Update – new ONE HULL Partnership Strategy 2011-2014 replaces 2009-2011 Strategy and LAA2

Next Steps in Partnership Working
Area Partnerships/Committees
Working with ONE HULL are seven Area Partnerships, based on the seven City Council Area Committee boundaries. The partnerships are made up of ward councillors, service providers, local residents, and voluntary and community groups.
Each Area Partnership develops local priorities for action to help deliver the City’s priorities set out in the Sustainable Community Strategy and Local Area Agreement.
For more information on the Area Partnerships visit the Hull City Council website.
